Thomson Towboats current Safety Management System and Safe Operating Procedures were developed in 2014 to meet compliance with Maritime New Zealand’s new Maritime Operator Safety System (MOSS).
Ongoing compliance with MOSS ensures that Thomson Towboats operations, crew, vessel safety and environmental protection are maintained for the duration of the Maritime Transport Operator Certificate (MTOC) issued by MNZ.
Maritime New Zealand is the New Zealand government agency that regulate the commercial maritime industry in New Zealand waters.
Thomson Towboats also meets compliance with applicable flag state regulations and local body bylaws.
We work closely with our customers to ensure their Health and Safety requirements are met whilst our vessels are engaged on their projects.
We follow and support the biosecurity requirements
set out by Auckland Council and Department of Conservation.
